Cisco bridges in the Fraser Canyon at Siska Flats, Lytton, BC

A lonely gravel railcar sits on a disused spur line. The Cisco bridges are a pair of railroad bridges at Siska (historically known as Cisco) near Lytton, BC. The Canadian Pacific Railway and the Canadian National Railway both follow the Fraser River, one on each side, and the routes exchange sides at this point: CN from west to east shore and CP from east to west shore. The 250m long CN truss arch bridge stands 67m above the river and crosses the tracks of the CP line on its eastern end. The south end of the CP bridge (on the west bank of the river) enters directly into the Cantilever Bar Tunnel in the side of the Cisco Bluff.
